In regards to that ask about Monk in the elevator, sometimes things are worse than his fears - like when he climbed on the table to avoid a snake that escaped. He said his fear of snakes trumped his fear of heights. So that could be a possible explanation.

Thanks for the message, lovely! There we go, guys, depending on how scared he is, he’ll prioritise his fears :)

I don't think elevators are a fear of monks cause in Mr Monk and Sharona Sharona wants to take the elevator and he doesn't hesitate not to go in it.

I think in Mr. Monk and Sharona, the overarching argument with Sharona and Natalie was that Adrien did not want to get in the elevator and neither Sharona nor Natalie wanted to compromise.

I find that doing nothing and never mentioning it again is always the best policy.

Mr. Monk: Ha! I most certainly can hide. Can't I Sharona?
Sharona: Oh, no one hides like you boss.

Monk: Yeah
Captain Stottlemeyer: You still run?
Monk: Sometimes
Captain Stottlemeyer: How often?
Monk: Never.

Sharona: Well, we can always stay at Aunt Gail’s.
Benjy: Why can’t we stay at Mr. Monk’s?
Sharona: Because I will go crazy slower at Aunt Gail’s.

Sharona: Here.
Monk: What’s this?
Sharona: I’m not paying for it.
Monk: It’s your car!
Sharona: You didn’t put money in the meter!
Monk: Okay, let’s compromise — you pay the ticket, and I, don’t.
Sharona: What kind of compromise is that?
Monk: Well, that’s the economical kind.
